FAQ's
Q. How much does it cost?
A. To join, it costs $AUD55.00 to set up
your pages, and $AUD11.00 per calendar month for the basic
package. You pay per financial quarter, so you would pay $AUD33.00
for 3 calendar months at a time (The JOIN
page has cost and payment details, and contains the correct
information if there is any discrepency between that page
and this).
Q. Do I have to pay commission on
sales?
A. NO, you dont have to pay any commission
at all. If you are happy with the small ongoing fee's, we
are happy for you to sell as many works as you can. BUT, we
dont want this site to interfere with any gallery commission
obligations, so we ask the artist to make sure we are aware
of any exhibitions, so we can either temporarliy disable the
pages, or direct all contact through the gallery representing
the artist.
Q. What if I want more images?
A. You can have more than 5 images, or more
text pages. Refer to the JOIN page for
a list of the small fees associated with expanding your pages.
Q. What if I get signed by a gallery
and I have to sell through them?
A. Simple, we can change all your contact
details to be routed totally through a gallery, or de-list
your site temporarily at no cost. In fact, if you have your
gallery support us in some way, we will certainly list them
on our site as well! You can still use the NOTICEBOARD
to advertise your exhibition.
Q. How do I get images to you, I
dont know much about computers?
A. There are several ways you can send images.
By CD, e-mail, and simply by sending actual photographs of
your work. We can do all the scanning and manipulation. Its
all included in the set-up price.
Q. What about GST?
A. All prices include Goods and Service Tax
(GST). The GST component is indicated on your invoice as well
for tax purposes.
Q. Is the cost of this site tax deductable?
A. That is a question for your accountant
depending on your personal tax situation. Certainly, if you
are running a business based on art, this would be considered
advertising. Check with your accountant.
Q. How do I pay?
A. To keep things simple, we are allowing
payment by cheque, or EFT. To reduce the costs of the site,
we are not allowing credit card transactions over the internet
at this stage.
Q. Can I choose the colors on my
page?
A. At this stage, no. We have chosen the
neutral colors to best suit the display of your art on CRT
and LCD monitors, and have kept them through the site to maintain
consistency. At a later stage, we will probably introduce
color selection, along with image border selection.
Q. Do I get an invoice?
A. Yes, you receive an invoice requesting
payment clearly displaying all our details for tax purposes,
including our ABN and the GST component of your payment.
Q. How quickly will I be set up?
A. Given the images, payment and no hiccups,
you will be online within hours!
Q. Can I put music on your site as
an artist?
A. Good question! After being asked this
question, we have added music download facilities to the site.
You are now able to include 5 samples in your page, but at
a slightly higher price due to the larger file size and cost
of data transfer. |
